Flier Fight!!!
August 15th, 2008 by LuxSo, I have now come across 3 different fliers for the Mon Cousin Belge record release party at Cafe Du Nord on the 17th. So lets play a game. Leave a comment telling which band designed which flier, an explanation on why, and which one is your favorite. So far there is nothing to win or gain in doing this, but maybe i’ll just be nice and give some lucky person my spot on the guest list for the show. Seeing as i don’t even know if there is a guest list, maybe i’ll just send you a new, rad, Passionistas T-shirt, or hell maybe both! - OK!

it seems quite obvious and i just don’t want to play. BUT i want a passionistas t=shirt!!! i will wear it to every kentucky event (including the military/gun shows). so, when passionistas come here, trash folk will be waiting. . .

they’re all really awesome! but the question is why? hummm…may i first comment on the tiny intro that the first has? i.e., “the one you have seen before?” what kind of handicapping do you call that beeeeeaaaaaaatch? why? why what? i forgot the question. can i still have a t-shirt and will myles model the sizes and colors for me?

Ok so:
So the second is total gay pride and was obsly made by mcb becuz they have hella more pride in there band, because myles isn’t that proud 2b teh ghey and it was harder 2 be teh ghey when randy/tom/gaybear and harder to be frenz of teh ghey (danica.) back when.
third one duh was made by aaron becuz he wants 2 be in a punx not dead band hella bad and was living the dream via flyerzzz even though he canna even convince his jambros that punx not dead.
first one was puked up by liza one night.

the first one is a collaboration between my boyfriend lee, you might know her, and swiss artist extraordinaire thomas hirschhorn, you might not. i wonder what she, thomas, would say about it, the flyer.
the second, though cute, is…cute.
the third, might be by this liza, whoever the fuck she is!
i like it. it’s good. i might even want one.
the winner? duh! anyone of any modicum of taste and discerning wit would go for the international collaboration.

Borrowing/stealing someones art and putting it on a flyer does not make that a collaboration, sweetie! I should know! All of my art is stolen =)
