Hunx, of Gravy Train!!! fame, strikes out on his own, exploring what is probably the only viable path for girl group sounds: via the ramones in the aftermath of the gay bomb. Hunx’s music harkens back to doo-wop and classic rock-n-roll groups like The Ronettes — except dirtier, queerer, and with abs-and-tights instead of beehives. ICY LYTES is an LA duo formed in the spring of ‘08. Fresh as Bel Air royalty, MO’NEEX & BEEX have paired up at the peak of all things hyphy-crunk-ghettofab and flashy as their name states. Much like a chicken incessantly laying eggs, Beex drops remixes, beats, edits, and rhymes scrambled into the dirtiest, dopest, homegrown LA sounds, while MO’NEEX is unleashed, causing jams like LA traffic…but no one can stop her flow.
