How can Mistah F.A.B. be our “Baydestrian” when he is so homophobic? Our “Prince of da Bay” isn’t even clever enough to be funny about his homophobia. Come on! We can stand rappers when they’re at least funny about being homophobic.
I mean, gay people are so mainstream right now. Calling someone gay is the equivalent of calling them rich, stylish and childless. What’s so bad about that?
It’s kind of disturbing that Mistah F.A.B. is the rapper generating the most interest for the Bay Area. He’s currently in a war with Detroit’s Royce Da 5′9″ that’s all the buzz. I personally feel he could have staged a beef with someone of a higher profile. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out the rap game.
What did you do 25 years into your lukewarm career? Make an awesome song about it? I bet not! Luckily Too $hort was here to make that awesome song about long hauled mediocrity and getting head that you weren’t willing to write. And that’s why his Summer 2006 hyphy hit Blow The Whistle made our list of Best San Francisco Songs of All Time!

Tequila’s MySpace Hip hop artists are notorious for having MySpace pages that are WAY too pimped. “Pimped profiles” crash browsers, look stupid, and are generally very off putting. I wonder if anyone has ever told them that?
Tequila obviously isn’t a web designer, but let’s not hold that against her. She has an awesome song featuring Assassin called “Go Dumb Girl” that you should DEFINITELY check out. It’s more classic than nostalgic – while sounding fresh, silly and mature all at the same time. Tequila is from the North Oakland area – and has been releasing material for at least ten years. Girl needs some success. Go dumb girl.
